The Effectiveness of Village Fund Management in the Agricultural Sector in Girisa Village Paguyaman District Boalemo Regency

Abstract

Optimizing village fund management in the agricultural sector often faces a gap between community expectations regarding transparency and the actual procedural compliance of local governments. This study aims to examine the village fund management process in the agricultural sector encompassing planning, implementation, reporting, accountability, and supervision, while also evaluating the factors determining its effectiveness through productivity, adaptability, job satisfaction, and resource capacity in Girisa Village, Boalemo Regency. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive method, data were gathered through observation, interviews, recordings, and documentation. The findings indicate that village fund management in the agricultural sector has been effective, highlighted by community involvement in supervision, even though the reporting process was perceived by residents as less transparent despite being legally compliant. Furthermore, the factors determining effectiveness have successfully driven policy implementation by prioritizing the community's most urgent agricultural needs. In conclusion, while the fund management is procedurally effective and well-targeted, improving open communication regarding financial reports is highly recommended.
