PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN POLITIK DALAM KEPEMIMPINAN PESERTA DIDIK PADA ORGANISASI SEKOLAH DI SMA NEGERI 1 PAGUYAMAN PANTAI
Abstract
This study aims to examine in depth how political education influences student leadership within school organizations at SMA Negeri 1 Paguyaman Pantai. Using a qualitative approach that relies on primary data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation, while secondary data is collected through documents and archives related to the research object, this study aims to obtain accurate results that reflect real-world conditions. Based on the research findings, the implementation of political education through leadership activities in school organizations has not shown optimal results. This is evident in the fact that many students are still involved in organizational management, but are less active in carrying out the duties and responsibilities they should assume. This minimal active involvement reflects the ineffective internalization of leadership values and democratic participation. School environmental factors are also a major contributing factor to this situation, as they have not yet fully created a supportive atmosphere for the development of political education through organizations. Therefore, a stronger role is needed for teachers and mentors in providing guidance, motivation, and mentoring so that students are encouraged to be more active, take initiative, and be able to carry out organizational functions effectively as part of the process of developing their leadership character.
